Hello WP Podcast

THE BRIEF
Hello, WP! is a podcast created by WPMU DEV that follows a new user's journey into the WordPress community. I was tasked with developing a unique visual identity for the show that felt approachable and human while remaining distinct from our core technical branding. The goal was to capture the essence of a conversation between the hosts and translate that into a complete brand system, including a website and physical merchandise like stickers and badges.

THE SOLUTION
The visual direction was built around custom line-art illustrations of the hosts to create an immediate personal connection with the audience. I utilised a high-contrast yellow and black colour palette to ensure the brand felt energetic and stood out in crowded podcast directories.

• Branding & Illustration: I developed a hand-drawn illustration style featuring the hosts and a central microphone icon, which became the primary identity for the show's cover art.

• Website Design: I designed a dedicated landing page for the podcast to serve as a hub for all episodes. The site features a custom audio player and a clean, responsive layout designed to provide a seamless experience for both desktop and mobile users.

• Merchandise: To extend the brand beyond the screen, I designed physical assets, including stickers and badges. These items utilised the same vibrant visual systems I employed for WPMU DEV marketing materials to create a cohesive and recognisable fan experience.
